Online Sexual Harassment Prevention Program

The Berkeley campus is committed to promoting and supporting a community in which everyone can work and learn together in an atmosphere free of all forms of harassment, exploitation, or intimidation, including sexual harassment.

Available to ALL members of the campus community is a comprehensive online training program.

California law holds each employee personally responsible for complying with the laws that prohibit sexual harassment. To that end, the Title IX and Academic Compliance Offices have developed a strategy for ensuring that students, staff, faculty and administrators are knowledgeable about their responsibility to prevent sexual harassment and to respond appropriately to allegations of such behavior. By taking this program, you will have taken appropriate steps to become knowledgeable on this issue, and will possess an understanding of how to respond appropriately to situations that may arise. Although this training program focuses primarily on sexual harassment, the underlying principles can be applied to all forms of harassment.

If you have questions or comments about Berkeley’s sexual harassment policy, or if you would like more information regarding the identification or prevention of sexual harassment, please contact Nancy Chu, our Title IX Compliance Officer, or you may review the text of the University’s Campus Policy on Sexual Harassment and Complaint Resolution Procedures online.
